Une intime conviction is based on a real-life case.  This French courtroom thriller brings together law professor Jacques Viguier (Laurent Lucas) a man accused of killing his wife and Nora, obsessed with proving his innocence.  As a juror at Jacques Viguier’s trial, Nora is convinced that he did not kill his wife. This intuition quickly becomes an obsession. She persuades the most famous lawyer in the country to defend him for his second trial on appeal. Together they start a compulsive quest to prove his innocence against all odds. That quest has a price they might not be ready to pay.
